Goose was completely cooked! Corona time and Christmas, we ordered a goose with side dishes for 4 people for the holiday, "2go" because it is currently not possible otherwise. Unfortunately, the bird does not "quite" keep what was promised. Somewhat very well done, dry, hardly seasoned, the meat was much too long in the oven and almost burnt. There was plenty of side dishes, but instead of a matching sauce, a portion of cream sauce with mushrooms. Red cabbage was bland, without salt and spices. In return, the pickup was pleasant and the baked apples excellent. I think the problem is with the general situation at the moment and the high number of orders at Christmas. Conclusion: we might test the kitchen again, probably when these annoying restrictions are over, in the restaurant. Still, the Christmas dinner was a disappointment.

Very nice restaurant in Steinbach. Even if the mushroom sauce was a bit thin and the chanterelles and the ribbon noodles were overcooked, you can eat very well here. Unfortunately, I have to subtract one star because the service was a bit understaffed.

We went to eat there on July 28th and 29th. Food, drinks and the staff great. Today on July 29th But there was the day without a mask. But when the pen was defected while leaving, we briefly asked how it would fit with the masks? Statement from the colleague behind the counter that you don't have to eat here. We don't do any more either. It's a shame but didn't understand anything. Reading the newspaper or watching TV could help. That's why there are laws and rules, otherwise we would be animals. Very good food and extremely friendly service with a lot of overview. The dishes are great and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The only drawback: there are not enough parking spaces. Still highly recommended.

Friendly staff. The card is fine. In my opinion, the food is served with ready-made sauces. Which I don't like. I myself mainly process food from bio-dynamic cultivation at home, so I find it generally difficult to eat in a "normal" restaurant. However, ready-made sauces do not necessarily have to be now. I had a baked potato with chanterelles in a cream sauce. Would have preferred the chanterelles then, e.g. B. eaten with bacon or with homemade cream sauce. What is very tasty, what I also like to eat there is the broth. This is made fresh because the menu also offers boiled beef. Since the eye usually eats with me, I have to complain that the dishes are generally served without "love" for me. Even before the pandemic, the table decorations were very spartan and listless. The ambience otherwise looks cozy at first glance due to the barn-like ambience. If you take a closer look, it's thrown together and not so pretty anymore. I know from others that the restaurant is always well attended. I think this is probably due to the price-performance ratio. Many companies come there. Due to the extra space, many celebrations are held there. Frankly, I wouldn't want to use this there. The food would not be good enough for me. I use the restaurant from time to time because it is within walking distance and otherwise no German cuisine is offered in town, except for an overpriced star restaurant. Maybe the quality and the ambience will improve at some point. In addition, the tastes are different. Good Appetite!

We were here for a birthday party, ten of us. What can I say, in the end everyone said 'here we go again'. The friendly service and the good food at reasonable prices will be remembered. Plus, the rooms are barrier-free (it was important to us!).

I have been a guest here for well over 20 years and have never been disappointed. The selection of the dishes, the ambience, the parking situation, the quality of the dishes and the friendliness of the staff is absolutely great. Particularly worth mentioning is the whole goose at Christmas time, it is the best in the area! I always love to go there.

Whoever expects a French restaurant is wrong. There is a local kitchen - also with Frankfurt green sauce - which is very nicely presented. The portions are decent, the service very nice, so a great place for a good evening.

Nice restaurant with good food and drinks. The rump steak is particularly recommended. On request, this is also available as a 500 g "male portion". Reservation is necessary because the restaurant is well attended.

The menu is extensive but everything is cooked based on convenient products. The sauces are predictable in taste and underground is the green sauce, which is served with a potato potato. OK - in December you should not hope for a fresh variant ... Everything edible, but nothing special ...

Whether it's a big party or dinner for two, food and service is always top.
